UPDATE: Woman Dies After Car Accident On I-84
Magic Valley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - One woman has died following a one car accident on I-84. The crash happened at milepost 267, near the Juniper Rest Area.
The Idaho State Police say that at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, 46-year-old Sandra Powley, of Shelton, Washington, was driving east in a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer.
That was when she drifted onto the left shoulder, returned to the roadway, and over-corrected. Her car overturned, and it stopped upright in the left lane.
She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.
Powley passed away at the scene of the crash, due to her injuries.
The eastbound lanes were blocked for about four hours. The crash is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
