Magic Mountain Ski Resort is forced to close due to the lack of snow.

The mountain got a late start on the season, opening just two weeks ago.

Now, for the first time, they are closing their doors in the midst of a season because of unseasonal warm temperatures.
Co–owners of the resort Gary and Suzette Miller explain their thoughts on the closing.

Says Suzette, “Our number one priority is to make sure our customers are safe and that the conditions are right for the well-being of their equipment.”

Gary adds, “It's kind of unfortunate because it affects a lot of people. Not only does it affect us, but it affects our employees– we staff about 25 people that are paid.”

Mother Nature will determine when the resort reopens for the season-- Suzette thinks two more snowstorms will do the trick.
