Maintenance To Close Washington Street North

UPDATE, September 12, 3:20 p.m. : Due to a chance of bad weather, the paving portion of the project has been moved from the evening of September 12 to the evening of Monday, September 16. The work is expected to begin at 11 p.m. and to end at 6 a.m.

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) - The City of Twin Falls will be closing Washington Street North from Addison Avenue to Shoup Avenue for regularly scheduled maintenance beginning Wednesday, September 11.

In order to boost the quality of the road and to prolong its life, the City will be contracting with Kloepfer Concrete Inc. to mill and replace three inches of pavement.

The work will be done from about 11 p.m. until about 5 a.m. on the evenings of September 11 and September 12. The milling will begin the first night and the paving will begin the second night.

Traffic will still be able to use the roadway during the day on September 12. The City expects the road to be closed during construction hours. Local access will continue throughout the project.
