Nashville, Tennessee (CNN) A California man accused of tampering with evidence in a rape case at Vanderbilt University has turned himself in.

Nashville Police released a statement saying Miles Finley traveled from California to Tennessee to surrender.

Finley and another California man, 20-year-old Joseph Quinzio, are accused of tampering with electronic evidence related to the rape of an unconscious student on Vanderbilt's campus in June.

Quinzio is going through the extradition process.

Both men are friends of accused rapist Brandon Vandenburg.

Vandenburg and three other former Vanderbilt football players are all charged with aggravated rape in the case.
