Near Mountain Home, Idaho ( KBOI ) The megaload is now parked just east of Mountain Home after an overnight move of more than 80 miles.
The megaload of oil refinery equipment has been in Idaho for about a week now.
It was in Marsing and left Saturday night on its way to Hammett.
The megaload only travels at night, so it's been parked just off Highway 78 since Sunday morning.
It's 380 feet and 450 tons. People parked on the side of the road and brought their cameras.
The megaload has well over a hundred tires.
Many were amazed at how it managed to maneuver the roads. Others just had to see it.
Bill Assendrup, a Kuna resident says, "the family wanted to see this major megaload, and we were not disappointed at all. It's huge."
"I would say maybe if you stood up on end, maybe a skycraper because it's just something you don't see everyday. It's just big, so big," adds Bonnie Barnett of Mountain Home.
The Elmore County Sheriff's Office taped off the area around it Sunday afternoon to keep people back. A deputy says no citations were issued Sunday.
The megaload will pass through Mountain Home and cross through central Idaho before heading north past salmon.
