Eden / Hazelton, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Monsanto Fund gave Valley Schools a check for $10,000. That after twelve Jerome County farmers nominated the school for the grant.

It's part of the America's Farmers Grow Rural Education program.

Brian Hardy, Principal of Valley Middle School, says, "Of course, science and technology is always a big push. And we're trying to do anything we can to help our students be competitive. In a rural district, we need all the money we can get. We're really glad that our local farmers nominated us, and that Monsanto puts this program together."

The Monsanto Fund will hand out over two million dollars to schools this year.

At Valley Schools, their $10,000 will buy 20 iPads and keyboard docks for students to use to study Science and English.
