Motor-Vu, Grand-Vu Drive-Ins May Close, Jerome Cinema Won't

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Motor-Vu Drive-In in Twin Falls did not win a free digital projector in a nationwide contest.

Owner Larry Roper of Interstate Amusement explains it would cost $90,000 per drive-in to make the switchover. Right now, both the Motor-Vu and Grand-Vu drive-ins are slated for closure, until the theater board meets at the end of the year to decide what to do.

But the good news is the board got two digital projectors for the Jerome Cinema. Those are being installed now, and the theater will reopen this Friday.
