Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) What would you do with two and a half million dollars? Magic Valley Regional Airport is doing some much-needed work on its asphalt.

The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the grant early last month. Since then, workers have been renovating the surface that the airport manager has been wanting to reconstruct for a long time now.

Airport Manager Bill Carberry says, "We've been lucky that the weather's been really agreeable with the activity lately, and it's been sunny and dry. We're hoping to have this wrapped up in about two weeks, about the first or second week of November."

Right now most of the work is happening right outside the terminal. Heavy equipment packed gravel before applying 15 inches of asphalt. The project should be done well before winter sets in.
