New Mexico Church Donates To Illegal Immigrant Children
Albuquerque, New Mexico (CNN) - A church in New Mexico spent the weekend taking donations for children who have come into the United States illegally.
Parishioners brought toys, clothes and non-perishable food to be taken to the Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces.
Some of the children are being housed there -- while they await possible deportation.
Church members say grown-up politics shouldn't be taken out on the kids.
