One Person Dead Following Shooting In Pocatello Neighborhood

Pocatello, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) - Pocatello Police are piecing together information that led to the death of a man by apparent gunfire. KIFI Television is reporting that it started with gun shots being fired around 8am this morning. A large number of police and sheriff personnel responded to a home near the intersection of Arapaho and Flint Creek. Indian Hills Elementary School was on lockdown for a time, but has since been lifted.
The standoff ended almost an hour after police arrived when detectives said shots were fired.
The situation ended with the suspect being transported to the hospital. He died of unknown causes.
Neighbors said the suspect who died was either the husband or boyfriend of the woman who lived in the house. A teenager girl is also said to be living in the home as well. There is no word yet as to whether or not the two women sustained any injuries.
Neighbors also said the suspect was not seen in the home for some time, but returned this past week to transport his belongings out of the house.
