Patrolling Through The Madness

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The madness of Black Friday is nearly here.

And we're not talking just in the stores...

There will be a high volume of traffic on Blue Lakes and Pole Line in the wee hours of Friday morning.

According to Twin Falls police, parking lots will also be hectic and, unfortunately, a popular place for crashes.

They recommend motorists pay attention to shoppers and other vehicles during the rush.

"Other traffic accidents that we do have in the area have been a problem with congestion, especially on Blue Lakes trying to get places, so they try to hurry and go different routes, which end up causing traffic accidents that way... people backing out, not paying attention to other vehicles and colliding with other vehicles driving through parking lot," explains Officer Justin Hendrickson, Twin Falls Police Department.

Contrary to belief, shoplifting and vehicle burglary crimes aren't very common on Black Friday in Twin Falls, according to Hendrickson.
