By KMVT News

San Diego, California (CNN) In San Diego, police are calling a bizarre case, that first appeared to be a deadly love triangle, a triple murder mystery.

Investigators say 22-year-old Ilona Flint and her fiance's brother, Salvatore Belvedere, were shot dead in the early morning hours of December 24 as they sat in a car outside a Macy’s department store.

That murder prompted a month-long search for the woman's fiance' and Salvatore's brother...Gianni Belvedere.

On Friday... authorities found Belvedere dead in the trunk of a car... about 90-miles from where the murders took place

Now police say they are looking for more suspects and an explanation.

“I understand want for information in this case, and I understand the significance of giving you information so that the people of San Diego are comforted that something is being done. I can assure you that if this case can be solved, it will be solved,” said Lt. Mike Hastings, San Diego Police.

The engaged couple were together for about seven years.

Friends of the couple and the brother say they were a great family.
