Powder At LDS Church Office Building Tests Negatively For Threat
Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN) White powder found in an envelope sent to a church office building in Salt Lake City has tested negative for a threat.
Fire officials say field tests performed on the powder by hazmat crews show the substance is not "an explosive or dangerous."
The envelope was mailed to the office building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Six people who may have been exposed to the powder were evaluated by paramedics, but none of them complained of any illness.
Part of the building was also evacuated.
The FBI is investigating the origin of the envelope.
