Saturday afternoon the Rising Stars Therapeutic Riding Center held its second annual horse show, "Riding With The Stars".
Marni Porath, the director of the program says the riders participate in therapy during the summer and fall months. Riding the horses can help improve balance and strength and also helps with sensory problems and motor planning.
There is a huge bond between the riders and the horses, of respect and trust, as well as building confidence.
Rising stars serve people of all ages and a wide range of disabilities in south central Idaho and would not be possible without the large amount of volunteer labor and horses.
