Craters of the Moon National Monument, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A search is underway at The Craters of the Moon National Monument for two Boise women.

Sixty-nine-year-old Amy Linkert and 63-year old Dr. Jo Elliot Blakeslee left home Thursday morning, but didn't return home on Saturday... as expected.

The two women were reportedly camping at the park.

The search is being concentrated in a five square mile area on the south end of the monument near the Tree Molds, Broken Top Loop, and Wilderness Trails.

Their parked pickup was found near the trail heads.

Officials say the women parked their trailer at a campground in Arco. Their dogs, cell phones and other personal items were found inside their pickup.

It’s believed the women were making a day-trip hike and there was no indication of foul play.
