Several Arrested In Washington After House Party Turns Into Riot

Bellingham, Washington (CNN) Police in Bellingham, Washington say a house party involving hundreds of college-aged people turned into a riot Saturday night.

The incident happened near the campus of Western Washington University.

Officials say as officers tried to break up the party that had spilled onto the street, partiers started throwing bottles and screaming obscenities.

Police responded by using pepper spray on the rowdy crowd of revelers.

At least three people were arrested.

No serious injuries were reported.
