Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Changes are coming to the St. Luke's Health System in Idaho and Oregon.

The organization plans to restructure management.

St. Luke's Health System is in the process of restructuring. The goal is to improve patient care.

"This restructuring is a positive thing and it's something we can take and become more regional,” said Laura Stewart, St. Luke’s Magic Valley.

There will be two regions; the eastern region will include the Magic Valley, Jerome, and Wood River facilities.

The west will encompass the Treasure Valley, McCall, Elmore, Fruitland, and eastern Oregon.

"We are all one region, but there are many different needs between the east and the west. If we can structure our governance and operational that leads to better outcomes for patients and improve care," said Stewart.

Management is in the final stages of the restructure and hopes to have it completed by April.

"Currently Gary Fletcher serves as our COO for St. Luke's Health System. In April he will be retiring and Chris Roth who is the current CEO of the Treasure Valley will become the Chief Operating Officer of the health system."

In the east Stewart said, "Jim Angle our current CEO at Magic Valley and Jerome will also be the CEO of Wood River Valley."
