Artists and shoppers alike came from all over to partake in the Thousand Springs Festival.

A move to Malad Gorge State Park made things a little different this year.

Says Jack Kuln, one of the festival coordinators, "this is the first year we've been at this park and we did it because the bridge at Ritter Island was condemned.”

Geri Omohundro, festival Artisan Coordinator, adds, "we had very easy access here its right off the interstate. It’s a beautiful park, easy to get in and out."

The two day event featured a number of tents and artists displaying their work.

Says Omohundro, “we have a full music lineup we had sixty-five artists. We have a lot of new artists from Utah, Washington and Montana, along with our old favorites.”

Kuln says, "all of the art is by jury. They have to submit samples to us to get in. All of it is original, there is no resale.”

Omohundro adds, "we have a wide variety of artwork from glass to metal, a lot of wood, fiber work, and paintings, lots of beautiful jewelry. Something for everybody."

Art wasn't the only thing that visitors got to enjoy.
Music, wagon rides, and food vendors provided families with many activity choices.
