Treasurer Ron Crane Announces Bid for Re-election

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Idaho State Treasurer Ron Crane filed his paperwork Monday morning with the Secretary of State to seek another term for office. In doing so, Crane said. “I am extremely proud of the many accomplishments we’ve had during my last term. Our fiscally conservative approach to money management has moved us into the best credit rating we’ve ever had with Moody’s, Fitch and S&P over the last two years. This has saved our state millions of dollars in interest payments on the Tax Anticipation Notes and also puts us in the top five states in the nation for fiscal management as ranked by Fortune Magazine.
We have also made great strides with our Unclaimed Property division over the last two years. It is now easier than ever for Idahoans to find out online whether or not they have unclaimed property which we are holding for them in trust. I am so proud we have shortened the processing of these claims from six months down to two weeks.”
