Turning Trash Into Art

Tools

By Joey Martin

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Reduce... Reuse... Recycle... That's the name of the game for kids taking part in this week's art class over at the Magic Valley Arts Council.

All week long a group of kids have been making master pieces of art out of entirely recycled material.

All summer long the Arts Council has been offering different themed classes for kids of all ages.

This week the kids have been learning lessons about what they think is trash... could be beautiful works of art.

“We’ve made lots of things already… We have used newspaper and old light bulbs to make maracas. We have taken buttons and made button trees. We even used some old CDs that we’ve cut into pieces and used them to make mosaic frames. So we’ve just got a whole lot of different things
Said Art Instructor Kim Cooper

There are still two day left for this particular class.

If you would like to sign up you can stop by their office located at 195 River Vista Place in Twin Falls.

Or you can contact the Magic Valley Arts Council at 734–2787.
