Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Monday the Twin Falls City Council held a public hearing on a request for annexation of land along the south side of the canyon rim.
The annexation consists of 412 acres located along the boundary of the Snake River Canyon.
The land in question includes the eastern boundary of the Evel Knievel jump site, Centennial Trail, the Twin Falls Gun Range, Shoshone Falls Park and Dierkes Lake.
With tonight's approval the city will now be able to zone the property. As of tonight the area will now be zoned as an open space.
That will make the continuous land accessible to be enjoyed by the general public.
