Twin Falls Fairgrounds Propose Additional RV Park Bathrooms

By Jay Michaels

Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A new bathroom and shower facility is planned for the RV Park at the Twin Falls County Fairground.

The RV Park was doubled in size about ten years ago, but back then there wasn't enough money to build more bathrooms. If a $110,000 grant is approved, construction of nine separate bathroom and shower units could begin next summer. But they probably wouldn't be completed in time for next year's fair.

Twin Falls County Fair Manager John Pitz says, "Then we've also got the deadbolt. We found an outlet for deadbolts that have the 'Vacant/Occupied.' So they can go in, and they don't get interrupted in there. They're got a toilet, shower, and a sink in each one of the rooms."

Pitz explains the proposed unisex bathrooms and shower units could be used by anyone who needed them, instead of having them marked as "Mens" and "Womens" bathrooms.
