Twin Falls Municipal Band Takes Center Stage

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The longest running municipal band west of the Mississippi took center stage this afternoon over at the Twin Falls City Park.

Every Thursday night, all summer long, the Twin Falls Municipal Band is holding their concert series in the park.

This Thursday’s theme was "Notes From All Over".

The band entertained hundreds of residents with a music selection from all over the globe.

With the city band being one of the city of Twin Falls claim to fame... band members appreciate the support they receive from the community.

“The community loves it… were the oldest running band west of the Mississippi, it’s something that no other city has, thank you to the community for giving us all of their support… we appreciate it.”
Said Sandy Hacking, President of the Twin Falls City Band.

The concert series will continue next week at the band shell inside the Twin Falls City Park.

The event will kick off at around 7:30 with the music getting underway at 8.
