Two Burley Teens Injured Following ATV Accident

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Cassia County Sheriff’s office say two 14 Year old boys were injured Thursday evening while riding an ATV. According to the Sheriff’s Office report the driver became distracted by a water bottle that was falling off the front of the Quad.

The deputy’s report say the crash occurred just before 5 pm near 200 west and 200 south in Cassia County. The 2008 Suzuki KingQuad was owned by Bruce Beck. When the driver attempted to grab a water bottle, he lost control. He drifted onto the soft shoulder of a cultivated field. The quad flipped, tossing him and his friend who was sitting on the back.

The two were transported to Cassia Regional Medical Center. They were later transferred by air ambulance. One was taken to Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and the other taken to a Boise Hospital for further treatment.
