Intermountain Gas Company Sunday Update
Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Here’s an update on Intermountain Gas Company’s actions in the Wood River Valley as of Sunday morning, 8/18/13:
“As a result of the Beaver Creek fire in the Hailey/Ketchum area, as a safety precaution, Intermountain Gas Company is continuing its shutdown of its gas system in those areas threatened by the blaze.
There have been no additional system shutdowns since yesterday. Currently, the shutdown includes all areas west of ID 75 from Deer Creek Rd, NW of Hailey, northward to Owl Rock Rd. just south of the St. Luke’s Wood River facility, on Aspen Lakes Drive, and on the west side of Hailey on West Bullion and Little Indio. At this time, the shutdowns continue to affect about 420 gas customers. Intermountain will update these announcements if further shutdowns are performed.
Intermountain Gas crews will begin inspecting the system and restoring natural gas service in the shutdown or evacuated areas when it’s safe to return. Residents are advised to follow all evacuation orders issued by the Blaine County Sheriff’s department and other State and Federal officials.”
