Utah Judge Denies Request To Stop Same-Sex Marriages
Salt Lake City, Utah (CNN) The tenth circuit court in Utah has denied the state's emergency request to stop same-sex marriages.
The ruling came down Monday.
This comes after the same judge struck down the state's 2004 voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage last Friday.
The judge said last week that lawyers for the state had offered no evidence that opposite-sex marriage would be affected by allowing same-sex couples to marry.
