Water Resource Commission Legislative Group Meet In Jerome

By Paul Johnson

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - This evening, the Snake River regional water resource commission held their second annual legislative dinner.
The dinner, which took place at the Jerome senior center, was designed to inform local and state legislators on the current state of our water resources.
With lower than average water levels, the commission wanted to make sure that local leaders were in the know.
If water levels continue to drop that means that the swan falls agreement could come into play.
Meaning local farmers and communities could see less water than typically used.
The swan falls agreement is designed to insure water levels are at a certain level as to continue power production for Idaho Power.
