Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A bill that would provide 2 million dollars in funding to help kill problem wolves in Idaho is headed to the Senate for a vote.
House lawmakers voted forty-nine to sixteen in favor of the bill Friday.
Democrats say it's a poor use of money.
The bill is back by Governor Otter and livestock producers.
Idaho has 118 packs and nearly 7 hundred wolves according to the most recent figures.
Proponents of the bill argue that existing measures aren't enough to control the wolves that prey on livestock and wild game... so this fund is designed to provide added resources.
