Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Hunter’s wolf season is officially in full gear.
The season began last week and ends March 31, 2014.
Idaho Fish and Game officials tell us the season usually starts off slow.
most of the harvest starts in october when hunters are looking for deer and elk.
"Wolf hunting is open throughout South-Central Idaho. Most people get into wolves in the northern half of the region. Southern Idaho is open south of the Snake River as well, we just don't have resident wolf packs there, and we hardly get any harvest down there,” said Regan Berkley, Idaho Fish & Game.
One of the only restrictions for wolf hunting in Southern Idaho is you cannot trap the animal.
