Wood River Books Ticket To State; Other Legion Teams Still In The Hunt

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Wood River has booked a ticket to the 'A' State Tournament after beating the Idaho Falls Knights in Friday's semifinal, 7-2. The Wranglers play Saturday at 6 pm against the Pocatello Razorbacks for the District Championship.

Twin Falls Cowboys took on the Blackfoot Broncos and beat them 14-8, but lose to the Twin Falls Blackhawks 14-13. The Blackhawks face the Idaho Falls Knights Saturday at 12 pm.

Burley sent the Upper Valley Cougars back to eastern Idaho as they won 14-1. The Green Sox then went on to beat the Rigby Trojans, 4-3. Burley plays the Idaho Falls Bees at 9 am on Saturday. All 'A' games played at Canyon Ridge High School.

In 'AA' action, Twin Falls Cowboys easily hand Jerome a 20-2 defeat. Twin Falls then goes on and beats Minico 12-1 for a chance to play for the 2 seed coming out of the Area C AA District Tournament. It will be a challenge though, having to face Pocatello again, a team that beat Twin Falls the day prior, 11-1. Game time slated for 11 am Saturday at Minico High School.
