101-Year-Old Woman Rides the Twin Falls Zip Line
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Celebrate a very special birthday. Known nationwide after multiple stints on Jay Leno, Twin Falls native Dorothy Custer is turning 101 years old. And on Wednesday, she did it in a nontraditional way. With her spunk and charisma, you would never know Dorothy Custer is turning 101 years old. "My birthday is today. I'm 101. I think I'm just one,” said Dorothy Custer, Turning 101. She's celebrating her birthday in the most unusual way. "I couldn't think of anything else and I thought why not? I am going to ride on the Zip the Snake and I'm going to see a part of the Snake River Canyon,” said Custer. With a trip down two zip lines, Custer enjoys every moment. And of course, she plays her harmonica the entire time. "I have to do something different because I had such a big birthday last year that I had to do something and I didn't want to go skydiving because I could break my leg and I couldn't get around. This ain't nothing. I will tell you more when I get done." Flying 1,400 feet in the air, Custer proves, once again, that age is just a number. A ribbon cutting will be held for the zip lines next Sunday, June 10th.
