A proposal to compensate Idahoans who were exposed to radioactive fallout from atomic testing was presented to the Idaho legislature Tuesday morning.
Representative Kathy Skippen from Emmett is asking for Gem State residents to be included in the “Radiation Exposure Compensation Act,” which already covers the states of Arizona, Utah, and Nevada.
The act gives cancer patients up to $50,000 if their type of cancer has been linked to nuclear fallout.
