13 Recipients Benefit From First Federal's Foundation
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) The First Federal Charitable Foundation is kicking off 2013 with 13 worthy recipients.
The organization held its semiāannual check presentation down at the Blue Lakes Country Club. Recipients ranged from the Magic Philharmonic Society looking to purchase music stands, to Twin Falls County and its need for a mobile classroom trailer. The foundation's board decided who the recipients would be at a meeting held last month. Rex Lytle, First Federal Charitable Foundation Board President says, "the requests were a little smaller than normal so we were able to fund a few more, we fund every six months 30,000, 60,000 dollars this past year so we were able to help more organizations." "At the Jerome Senior Center, we are going to repair some things that need to be repaired at our facility and we're pretty excited," adds Kristine Shelton, the director at the Jerome Senior Center. Lytle adds the foundation has funded more than $500,000 since 2003 with proceeds benefitting area organizations. Comments ( |
