Idaho Fish and Game are warning drivers to take extra care while heading down the road.
Mule deer are moving, and could cause problems for travelers where they normally wouldn't.
Kelton Hatch with the Idaho Fish and Game says during the winter the Magic Valley sees an increased number of mule deer migrate from the mountains.
Hatch says, "As winter progresses mule deer move more down into there winter ranges and with these recent snow storms and the cold weather we've had."
These critters make there way down to the valley because they're hungry and they in vast numbers to feed and they're constantly on the move to find it.
Most of they time they have to cross a road to get to it.
Hatch says he's been seeing a large numbers of deer near the hunt internment camp where these deer where found.
However he says drivers need to watch for deer all over the valley from bliss to Tremonton Utah. He says a couple of deer where hit along the interstate in past several weeks.
Hatch says,"One of the biggest killers of deer is the 65 mph speed limit."
Hatch says to slow down between 50 and 55 miles per hour because it'll give you a better chance to react if you see a deer cross your path.
He says most of the time deer are moving around during the dawn and dust hours, but during the winter you could see them at anytime.
