13th Annual East End Fire Departments Lawnmower Races
Rupert, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Minidoka County Fair kicked off this Monday with hundreds of local residents coming out to enjoy an annual event that also doubles as one of the valleys most beloved charity events.
This Monday was the 13th annual East End Fire Department Lawnmower Races. Every year local gear heads soup up their own lawnmowers and take them head to head in multiple different races. 58 different riders entered into this year's competition, and with all of the money raised going to multiple charities throughout the community, the drivers know it's all about the glory of the win. Every year this family fun event brings in thousands of dollars that will then go to help benefit individuals and families with necessary needs in the Mini–Cassia Area. Winners from tonight's races received an individual trophy and of course bragging rights for a full year. The Minidoka County Fair will continue all week wrapping up this Saturday. Comments ( |
