Rupert, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The 14th annual Caring and Sharing Christmas Tree Festival wrapped up this evening over in Rupert.

The 4 day festival all took place inside the Rupert Civic Center with the goal of raising $40,000.

The money raised from the festival will go to benefit many different health–related community causes in and around the Rupert area.

This annual event is designed to bring together local business and organizations with a goal of raising money for a good cause.

And with no admission charged to get into the festival, all of the money raised comes from the sale of the trees that are on display.

“What happens is the people will donate the trees and then we set a price on each of the items. Then we have a big gala luncheon and from there people come in and take a ticket off the items that are available and then they purchase those. Our gala event was last Friday and within 2 hours time we had sold over half of our items.” Said Festival Director, Tammy Hanks.

The festival was wrapped up in a pretty bow this evening after a full day of local musician hitting the stage gearing up residents for the Christmas season that’s just around the corner.
