Traffic Pattern Changes For Some Twin Falls Streets
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Drivers can expect to see a change beginning this week to the eastbound travel lanes at the intersection of Filer Avenue East and Locust Street North. City of Twin Falls Street Department crews will be making striping and signing changes to make the eastbound inside lane of Filer Avenue a left turn only lane as they approach the intersection. The other three approaches at this intersection will not change function. In the past, drivers in the eastbound inside lane of Filer Avenue had to either turn left to go north onto Locust Street or continue east and merge right into a single travel lane. Citizens voiced their concerns that this did not work well and was a safety concern, so the City is making the change to increase safety at the intersection.
