Bliss, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Two roadway bridges that cross over Interstate 84 in western Magic Valley will be resurfaced starting Monday July 30 according to the Idaho Transportation Department. Both bridges will be reduced to one lane for the duration of the work.
Beginning Monday, crews will close half of the overpass at Parks Loop Road, also known as Old U.S. 30 at the King Hill Exit (Exit 129), and Power Plant Road. Both roads, about midway between Bliss and Glenns Ferry, are undergoing a bridge resurfacing to remove the existing driving surface and replace it with a silica-fume concrete surface. Minor maintenance, including rehabilitation to guardrail, will also be completed.
Temporary traffic signals will be placed at each bridge to control traffic on the single lane of traffic on each bridge. There will be a 12-foot width limit placed on both bridges.
