New Sewer Lines Planned For Intersection Of Shoup And Martin In Twin Falls
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Motorists using the intersection of Shoup Avenue West and Martin Street will experience some delay starting this Monday. Public works crews will remove a section of the intersection and dig a trench for the new pipelines. After laying the new pipelines, crews will repave the effected part of the intersection.
Flaggers will be used to direct traffic, which will be limited to eastbound and westbound traffic on Shoup Avenue. Both lanes north of the intersection on Martin Street will be open, however, all lanes south of the intersection on will be closed until Tuesday, July 31st. The new pipeline installation, which is the first of a two-phase project, is expected to be completed Wednesday, Aug. 1st. Drivers should expect delays at the intersection and are being asked to avoid the area by using Heyburn Avenue West and Carney Street. During the second phase of the project, public works crews will replace a water line along Shoup Avenue from Martin Street to Carney Street. Crews will then re-pave all of Shoup Avenue from Martin Street to Carney Street. During the second phase, traffic will be allowed on eastbound- and westbound-lanes with minor delays until completion of the project on Aug. 31st.
