Two people will be arraigned in a Gooding courtroom this afternoon following a shooting at 520 East C in Wendell overnight. Mark Perez is being charged with aggravated assult while a second man, 19 year old Ricky Jimenez Jr. also faces charges. Jerome county authorities say Ricky Jimenez Jr. is charged with carrying a concealed weapon with no license, weapon in possession of a minor, underage consumption of alcohol and a weapon in connection to being concealed and under the influence. He is being held in Jerome County to separate him from Perez. Gooding county authorities separated the two placing them in different jail locations due to a concern that Jimenez may try to retaliate against Perez.

Allegedly Jimenez charges stem from retaliation toward Perez following the shooting.

UPDATED INFORMATION 9:20AM FRIDAY 8/10/2012 Gooding, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Man who has been charged with aggravated battery following a shooting incident in the 500 Block of East C in Wendell will be arraigned in a Gooding County Courtroom this afternoon. Police still will not confirm the name of the individual who they say is in his early 20’s. They say 3 shots were fired about 11:30 pm Thursday night. The victim was taken to a Boise hospital. The name of the victim has not been released. There were a total of three children, two of them age 2 and one age 3 who were in the vicinity of the shooting. Police say they are safe with family members.

UPDATE (7:11 A.M.): One man is injured, and another in police custody this morning.

Officers have confirmed one man was shot three times during the shooting and is in a Boise hospital this morning.

The primary suspect in the shooting is in police custody.

Officials say three young children ranging in age from 2 to 3 were in the home when the shooting happened, but were not injured.

No motive in the shooting has been released.

Wendell, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - One person in a Wendell Neighborhood may have suffered a gun shot wound.

Police are on scene of a residence in the 500 Block of East C.

At this time we have no official word as to what has happened.

Scanner traffic indicates there is a gunman with at least one if not two children involved.

Multiple agencies from have responded to the area including police, rescue and possibly life flight.

KMVT News is following this developing story and will have more information as it becomes available.
