Summit Hospitality wants to build a Holiday Inn Express in this vacant lot next to the current Hampton Inn.

The company has submitted a request to build a little over 48 feet tall.

City ordinance limits how tall a building can be in that area. The new hotel would be several feet higher.

The planning and zoning commission has already approved of the height extension. Plans for the hotel call for about ninety-rooms, and indoor pool, along with other multipurpose rooms
