Two Filer Residents Injured Near Mountain Home
Mountain Home, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Two Filer residents were injured when the vehicle they were in was struck by a semi truck. Idaho State Police said the accident happened around 4:07 pm on I-84 near Milepost 75, west of Mountain Home. A 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Elizabeth Shumaker-McKay, 73 of Filer, was traveling eastbound at a reduced speed when she was struck from behind by a 2009 Peterbuilt Semi, driven by Dallas Lappin, 47 of Emmett. Shumaker-McKay and her passenger, James McKay, 71 of Filer, were transported to Elmore Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Lappin was cited for inattentive driving.
