Idaho Power has released trout into river systems

Anglers looking to catch trout will now have over 31,000 opportunities to do so at several Magic Valley locations.

Idaho Power Company has released 31,500 trout into the Upper Salmon, Lower Salmon and Bliss Reservoirs.

The fish stocking program is a condition of the company's federal license to operate it's Mid–Snake River Hydroelectric Dams.

The utility also released 50,000 rainbow trout into CJ Strike Reservoir near Mountain Home.
