Shoshone Falls is one of the most beautiful attractions in Idaho and a major tourism boost for Twin Falls. With all this beauty bestowed in this area; it is no wonder that the city wants to make improvements to the park that include upgrading the parking lot and entrance area and eventually putting kiosks in to show the interpretative history of the area.

Dennis Bowyer, Twin Falls Parks and Recreation says, "We're hoping by the end of next week, we will have most of the construction done except for the paving. We'll have to wait for the asphalt plants to get open then after that we're hoping by late April or first part of May, the parking will be done at Shoshone Falls."

Bowyer says that the park sees between 300,000 - 350,000 tourists per year.

Bowyer says, "We believe that this park is the showcase for Southern Idaho, all of Idaho, even the Pacific Northwest, that we want to make sure that when people see the entrance they'll say it's a great park."

Currently the one lane road poses a delay for traffic.
Make sure you pay attention to the flagger, lights and yield to construction vehicles. Bowyer wants to remind everyone that come March 29th, they will be charging admission to enter the park.
