Wendell Man Injured While Crossing Street
Wendell, Idaho (KMVT-TV) One person was injured after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Main and Idaho Streets in Wendell last night. Idaho State Police say the accident was reported at 7:38 pm. Police say Jessica Dodge, 24 of Wendell was westbound on Main when she struck Rony Welker, 36, also of Wendell. Welker was crossing Main Street 200 feet east of the marked cross walk. Dodge’s vehicle struck Welker in the middle of the street. He was transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise. Police say the setting sun was a factor in the crash. They also say Welker had consumed alcohol prior to the crash.
