Fillmore Street Partially Closed For Construction
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The City of Twin Falls has closed one lane on a section of Fillmore Street between Falls Avenue and Caswell Avenue to allow contractors to install new sidewalk, curb and gutters near the new Courtney Conservation Park. The contractor — Robert Durham Excavation Inc. of Twin Falls — today blocked the northbound lane of Fillmore Street between Falls Avenue and the southern entrance to the Turf Club at 731 Falls Avenue. The southbound lane will remain open and will accommodate both north and southbound traffic. The section of Fillmore is expected to be limited to one lane through Sept. 28th. The new sidewalks will be wheelchair accessible and will facilitate access to the Courtney Conservation Park, which was dedicated Sept. 14th. It is Twin Falls’ only park that is landscaped entirely with native grasses, shrubs and flowers. The City built the small park in an effort to promote native landscaping and other forms of landscaping to conserve the region’s limited supply of water.
