Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Jerome Chamber of Commerce and Business leaders are working out the details for an economic Development Organization. The group is calling it Jerome 20/20. In a introductory letter, the group said. “It has never been easy attracting companies to come to the area nad provide good jobs. Nevertheless, we have some success over the years. When we look at the successes there are common threads that can be seen for the successes. When we look at the failures there are also common threads on those losses.” The group said that most of the success in the Magic Valley has come from some kind of leads received from the state or other resources. Once in a while, leads have come directly to city officials. The group said, One of the most important attributes is to be able to respond to a lead quickly and with passion and unity. The attitude has to be yes, we can do that, and then figure out a way to do it.” The program will be funded by the city, county and local business each with a 33% responsibility. The group plans to hire an executive direction who will report to a board of directors. The group hopes to work with the state, Southern Idaho Economic Development and others.
