Road & Water Line Work Scheduled For Parts Of Twin Falls

By Paul Johnson

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The City of Twin Falls say motorists should be aware of some road construction that will cause delays. On Sunday, October 7, Idaho Sand and Gravel will begin repaving the southbound lane of Locust Avenue between Falls Avenue and Spruce Street. The project will remove the deteriorated pavement by milling out the old pavement and replacing it with new pavement.

On Monday, October 8, the intersection of Bridgeview Boulevard and Pole Line Road as well as a portion of one westbound lane on Pole Line Road near Elm Street is scheduled to be re-paved. The intersection of Pole line road and Bridgeview Boulevard will be closed Monday. The work on westbound Pole Line Road near Elm Street will not close the road. It will be constructed with lane closure. Work is planned to begin no later than 8 a.m. and complete that day.

On Monday October 8, work will begin on the Kimberly/Highland Water Extension Project. This project will increase water supply for residential and industrial users, including Chobani, in southeast Twin
Falls. The work includes the installation of a 24" waterline on Meadowview Lane, between Fourth Avenue and Kimberly Road and on Kimberly Road between Meadowview Lane and Eastland.
The contractor expects to maintain two-way traffic on Meadowview Lane during construction along the west side of the road. On Kimberly Road, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane while the waterline is being installed on the south side of the road. The installation of the waterline is expected to be completed on Meadowview Lane and Kimberly Road by mid-December. Due to cold weather, temporary paving will need to be provided until weather allows for final paving placed in the Spring.
