Semi Truck Accident Closes Freeway Near Burley Today
UPDATE: The road is now open according to the Idaho State Police.
Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Crews continue to work on cleaning up the wreckage of a semi truck accident along I-84 in Cassia County. Idaho State Police say the accident happened about 8:54 this morning at milepost 201 near Kasota road. Authorities say a 2012 Freightliner, driving by William Palmer, age 67 of Taylorsville, Utah was headed eastbound when he struck several protective barriers in the construction zone. Palmer then struck an unoccupied construction vehicle before crossing over the median and coming to a stop blocking the westbound lanes of travel. ITD is currently rerouting traffic around the crash scene while the vehicle is being recovered. Palmer and his passenger, Vance Eldredge, age 52 of West Jordan, Utah, were both uninjured in the crash. Palmer was cited for inattentive driving. Comments ( |
