Today the Early Childhood Education Program at the College of Southern Idaho held a 'Children's Day Out' to celebrate National Week of the Young Child.

The event at the boys and girls club was geared toward pre–school aged children and featured face painting, a variety of hands on demonstrations, contests for prizes, and even some of the live reptiles from Herrett Center.

Officials with the CSI Early Children Education Program say it's important to stimulate youngster’s abilities to learn with new environments and mental challenges.
